THIS WEEK'S POEMS February 9th l998
FEBRUARY 14th
REMEMBER MEN
Remember men come in three sizes
Boring, bastards, and belligerent
Sometimes however in their eyes is
Beauty, and they can be quite intelligent
Provided they remember to forget
Five thousand years of dominating it
And stop responding to the codes
Society, and their mum, imposed
And yet their energy attracts
Until your energy their fooling saps
Of your magic life, your hex
They know nothing. As for sex
Can you really trust them?
So is there hope now for these blighters?
Glassy eyed or sharp one nighters
Fucking the world up, if not you
They really don't know what to do
Yet see they beauty in a mirror
Reach out and cut their hand on glass
In love's winter they still wither
You wait sighing as they pass

FEBRUARY 9th
WHAT WOULD I GIVE?
What would I give to kiss like that again?
Sweet timelessness in this place grew
Within the circle of our being
As though locked there we always knew
The purpose which we'd not been seeing
And so we kissed and kissed again
In your sweet mouth was my refrain
My ship tied up within your dock
Your waters lapping with the shock
We stooped displayed as birds of prey
In close combat but gentle sway
Desire to strike yet not to wound
As to each other flesh succumbed
Your slightest cry would urge me on
So tightly held but burgeoning
Then slowly as we grew more bold
Our symphony we felt unfold
To play on instruments as one
Yet audience of what was done
In chords of memory to keep
To prove our reverence touched deep
And still we had not moved but kissed again
As though this were an interlude

Tomorrow's Poem is called TO HER EX-BOYFRIEND
FEBRUARY 10th
TO HER EX-BOYFRIEND
Incoming missile on the starboard bow
Packed with brains and beauty and lots of dance knowhow
With their locked on radar they can be real smart
Only takes just one to blow your life apart
Limping back homeward seeking any port
Remembering all the weeks you loved and drank and fought
Major rebuilding now you're in the calm
But even when they've killed they can just re-arm
The times they are a changing the girls are on the spree
And now their likely targets are wandering all at sea
Me? I look to my defences when appetite is whetted
I know the consequences of being Exoceted

Tomorrow's Poem is called ODE TO BILL GATES
FEBRUARY 11th
ODE TO BILL GATES
Total technoman you escape my Net
I don't want your money just whst you project
You byte my soul and set me free
My window to infinity
Gatekeeper to the stars Your inspiration drinking
In intellectual bars where I do all my thinking
You are my Bill for whom I'll always pay
Your imagination steals my time away
But what's this? Your presence undetected?
Barriers of silence hsve you now erected
Yet against my worldwide love you are unprotected
Yes I will dream of thee in personal hyperspace
For in such four dimensions there's no hiding place
Where you go at night escsping from machines
I'll hyperlink delight so don't adjust your screens
I the butterfly in your caterpillared dreams

Tomorrow's Poem is called BREASTS
FEBRUARY 12th
BREASTS
Soft pulpy mounds so oft expressed
As source of joy for babe caressed
A pillow made for man who's stressed
Twin peaks of admiration constantly assessed
The softest touch where dreams are blessed
While fingers play and moist lips stray
Purposefully to bend the will
May nipples tauten at the thrill
And shivered feathers light the brain
Whispering that you'll come again

Tomorrow's poem is called WOMEN BEWARE POETS TOO
FEBRUARY 13th
WOMEN BEWARE POETS TOO
If thou wouldst love me then beware
Since of your love I'd not take care
But squander with a smiling tongue
The wandering lust we've just begun
Your deepest sigh I would record
And publicise how once we whored
Oblivious to the march of time
Lacivious tender in our prime
Much better that we make amends
So let us part but still stay friends
